Mother Accused Of Killing Two In Clearfield Cottage
CLEARFIELD Pa District Attorney Carl Belin charged 41 year old Jennie Galley with beating her two daughters Virginia 17 and Marie 5 to death with a hammer while they slept in their Hawkrun cottage. He said she waited for husband Turiaf and son Gustav to leave for work then struck them 15 to 20 times and confessed to a neighbor. Belin and Sheriff Ammeran arrested her, and he described her as a mental case.

Condemnation Suit Heard In State Road Case
A jury of freeholders was panelled today to hear the second condemnation suit between the state road commission and T. J Harper. Jurors owned land and were taken to inspect the property used by the commission for a road near the overhead bridge by Harper. A committee valued the lands at 1750 dollars. In another suit involving two Harper tracts, Harper heirs were awarded 675 dollars after a 700 dollar valuation.
