No Hope For Hotel Strike Settlement At Greenbrier
The first meeting between unions and management at the Greenbrier Hotel in White Sulphur Springs is scheduled today but little chance of a settlement exists. The hotel offers two cents more per hour first year and three cents second year for a two year contract, while 700 striking workers seek 10 cents more each year. Legal disputes over occupancy and pay are possible as the hotel stands empty and conventions vanish, including the West Virginia State Amateur Golf Tournament.
