Auction Success Spurs Growth in Raleigh County Farm
The 1933 Raleigh County land auction drew flood of development with 15 new homes built since August 1933 over a mile of 30 foot road laid, Appalachian Electric Survey completed for power extension, and farm portions kept in high cultivation. Prospects include 15 to 20 more homes and strong demand from miners, investors, and truck gardeners for Glen Rogers, Glen White, Eccles, Metalton and nearby coal fields.
