7000 Used Books Declared Obsolete
Raleigh County Board of Education approves disposal of about 7000 used school books stored in the county supply house. Superintendent John Saunders says many are in good condition but obsolete and unlikely to be used. effort to donate to county schools yielded little response and burning is likely. Board also considers leasing Bragg School building, erecting two bus stops, and bidding on bus maintenance supplies. Multiple personnel changes and transfers approved, with resignations and leaves noted. Public notices include estate claim deadlines and a dissolution of Nanaqua Swim Club.
