Positano retreat offers leisure away from TV era
In Pozitano Italy the Casa Maresca hosts a quiet pensione where no radio or telephone exists and visitors hike 395 steps to the beach. Guests enjoy boats, sea views, and mountain views, with writers and painters drawn to the timeless village above the Amalfi coast. A tranquil escape noted for its absence of competition and sponsorship. Meanwhile New York reports on a new TV program The Most Beautiful Girl in the World offering a $250,000 prize, with Revlon to sponsor and eventual network and time to be chosen this week. Contestants to be judged on talent and beauty with a final yearly competition.
