Court Ruling Won't Change Local Legal Practices
The Register reports that the U.S. Supreme Court ruling on interrogation rights is not expected to alter Beckley area police and jurists procedures substantially. Officials, prosecutors, and defense attorneys foresee careful, cautious application as courts interpret the decision, with mixed views on its impact and enforcement. A stolen 1959 car recovered on Freeman Street, plus multiple traffic and criminal incidents, fill out a record of weekend activity and local law response.
