The West Virginia Derby was postponed from Wheeling Downs and relocated to Waterford Park in Chester, Hancock County. Waterford Park owner James F. Edwards said the move aims to elevate the event to attract top three-year-olds, with the race likely held late in the summer meeting July 2 to September 3.
