Mine Accident Fatal To Luther Teel Jr.
Luther Teel Jr., 46, of 110 Reservoir Road, died at 8:25 a.m. at Beckley Memorial Hospital from injuries received at 11:15 p.m. Wednesday at the Jonben operation of Republic Steel Co. He was run over by a mine car while dropping cars at the tipple. He had recently returned to mining after a plumbing career. Survivors include his wife Vivian, two sons Marvin Ray and Roy Edward, his parents, a brother Roy Milton Teel, and two sisters Faye Bowles and Mrs. William D. Nace. The body is at Caffee Funeral Home pending service arrangements.
