Which sofa fabrics wear best and why
The Consumers Question Box explains that plain balanced weaves wear best when the weave is dense and yarns are strong. Nylon and wool offer durability with nylon easier to clean. Avoid raised patterns for abrasion resistance. choose hard twist yarns and hard finished surfaces. Treating fabric with spot and stain repellents helps wear. fewer decorative floating threads improve durability.
