CHICAGO UPI A record 3730 traffic deaths in April raised the four month total for 1965 to 13710, 2 percent above last year. The death rate per 100 million miles fell from 5.1 to 5.0. Traffic accidents caused about 500000 disabling injuries and a similar number of less severe injuries. The April toll was a record for the month and up 8 percent from April 1964.
