Charleston Truck Driver Hurt In Turnpike Crash
A Charleston truck driver, Ralph Bonone, age 56, of Malden, was admitted to Beckley Hospital around noon with head and chest injuries after his tractor trailer from Kanawha Manufacturing Co. jackknifed on a rain slick Turnpike near Milepost 41. The vehicle plummeted a 75-foot embankment and was demolished. A hospital spokesman cited injuries to the left side of his head and face. State Police reported the crash.
