Taxpayers must pay the second estimated federal income tax by June 15 1971. If filing after April 15 but before June 2 they must use Form 1040 ES and pay at least one third by June 15. District Director Hugh D Jones notes amended estimates may be needed if 1971 income changes. Publication 505 explains withholding and estimates and can be requested from the Parkersburg IRS.
