Raleigh man jumps from truck before Kilsyth train crash

Dewey Kessler narrowly escaped injury when he leapt from a New River Supply Co truck moments before a coal train struck the vehicle at the Chesapeake and Ohio crossing in Kilsyth. The engine, driven by Horace Stover, braked and blew for the driver, but the load crushed the truck and built fire was put out by Mount Hope volunteers.

Demo Delegates Announced in Three Raleigh Districts

Delegates from Shady Spring Marsh Fork and Clear Fork districts to the state Democrat convention at Clarksburg were announced by the County Clerk. Elections occurred Monday with town district results earlier this week showing missing delegates from Richmond Slab Fork and Trap districts.
