15 Girl Scouts Train For Nurses Aide Bar at Oak Hill
Oak Hill hospital hosted a Nurses Aide Bar program for 15 of 17 Senior Girl Scouts from Mrs. Delbert Sueed’s Troop 10. Funeral services for Harlow Abshire, 70, of Ashford, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Church of God Holiness in Ashford with Rev. William F. Slays officiating. Burial follows in Kinder Cemetery, Brushton. He died Monday in Charleston Memorial Hospital after a long illness. He was a retired miner and United Mine Workers member, lifelong Ashford resident. Survivors include wife Janie, three daughters Decota Barker, Hernshaw Totten, Irene McCormack. two sons Timmy and Carl. three brothers Griff Johnny Earl. 19 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. The body will be moved from Johnson Mortuary Marmet to the residence at 6 p.m. today and to the church one hour before services.
