Wanted man surrenders after Florida warrant
H. E. Robinson, sought by Orlando, Florida on embezzlement charges, surrendered to Officer Tyree Monday morning in the local sheriff's office. He reported he had heard of the warrant and gave himself up, saying he had nothing to fear. Orlando authorities have been notified and local officials await action.

Clear Forks Bad Man Killed After Running Gunfight
In Clear Fork district Constable A A Painter of White Oak and Morrise Maynor exchanged nearly a dozen shots during a running fight Sunday afternoon. Maynor was killed and Painter wounded. Maynor and three companions had resisted officers seeking to arrest them after causing a disturbance. Maynor’s gun caused the fatal exchange. Painter survived with wounds. A coroner’s jury exonerated Painter, finding he acted in duty. An officer was sent to White Oak to serve warrants on the involved youths. Several future charges against Maynor were anticipated in September court terms.
