Oak Hill residents saw a Chevrolet sedan overturn on the main highway near the State Highway garage Tuesday night. Owner Freel Boyd says the car, stolen from Fayetteville Route 1, had the keys left in the dash. The vehicle overturned about a mile down the road. two men fled, later hiring a taxi. A bottle of wine found in the car was not Boyd’s. Estimated damage was $300.

Wyoming county officers continue the Otsego Brule Smokeless Con Company Store case searching for thieves who pried open the back with a window frame and left blood spots. Investigators say $500 to $600 in merchandise including jewelry kodaks clothing and perfume were taken. over $70 in cash and script were stolen inside the register while more than $40 in metals remained. A previous juvenile robbery occurred July 4 last year with youths aiding police in a confession and hunt for evidence.
