Minority youth concert to feature Christian Debbie Hall
The Minority a touring West Palm Beach Fla youth group will perform a Christian rock concert July 23 at 8 p m at Park Junior High School. Debbie Hall 15 granddaughter of C D Hall and L M LaFon Beaver will sing as a featured soloist. Admission is 1. The group of 49 includes teens and college age members with prior summer tours across 20 states and Canada.

Two Beckley Dentists Named ADA Alternates
Dr. D. E. Neil and Dr. Paul H. Loflin of Beckley were elected alternate delegates to the American Dental Association annual meeting. Both former presidents of the West Virginia Dental Association, they were chosen at the 65th WVDA meeting at The Greenbrier. The gathering urged expanded federal loan and scholarship funding to support dental schools and health care needs.

Filing Deadline Set For Employment Taxes 1971
Employers face a July 31 deadline to report and pay Social Security and withheld income taxes for the quarter ending June 30 1971 per Hugh D Jones district director IRS West Virginia. Form 941 preaddressed returns mailed by IRS must be used. If the full quarterly tax is deposited on time with a Federal Reserve Bank or approved bank they have until August 10 1971 to file.

Swedish exchange student returns to Beckley with bride to be
Richard Bachland of Lulea Sweden and his fiancée Liw Ericson also of Lulea visit Beckley with hosts Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Gates. Hearing Set On Flight School Rate Request
The West Virginia Public Service Commission will hear Raleigh County Flight School Inc. rate requests at 10 am on Aug. 12 in the capitol Charleston hearing room. The schedule filed Dec. 30, 1970, lists charter rates 30 to 50 cents per mile or 25 to 75 dollars per hour, sightseeing trips at 3 dollars per person, waiting fees 8 to 10 dollars per hour, 50 dollar overnight, extra landings five dollars, and landings outside Raleigh County Memorial Airport at half the hourly rate. Buddy Cottle owns the school.
