M Vargo fifty five year old machine runner was killed yesterday morning in a state fall at the Oswald mines. His 18 year old son Paul Vargo was seriously injured and rushed to Coal Valley hospital where doctors said he had a good chance of recovery. Surviving are his wife Barbara and children Joe Paul Mike Margaret and Annie. Funeral services will be held Friday at 10 at Scarbro Catholic church with burial in Scarbro cemetery under Collins Funeral Home supervision.

Veteran tipple foreman dies after fall at Kaymoor shaft
