Yablonski Slay Defendants Allowed Same Attorney

In Washington Pennsylvania a Cleveland man Paul Gilly and his wife Annette won permission to be represented by Cleveland attorney Gerald S. Gold after waiving any injury or prejudice from shared counsel. Judge Charles G. Sweet released court appointed lawyers and ordered them to hand over materials to Gold. The Gillys, jailed January 1970 after the Yablonski murders, face murder charges with a venue change hearing set for next Monday.

Firemen Save Four Room House on Bibb Avenue

Beaver firemen responded to a blaze on Bibb Avenue at 1 40 p m Sunday saving a four room house owned by Martha Hayes. Overheating stove in the living room caused the fire. Beckley Fire Department assisted in extinguishing the flames.

ABI Dormitory Fund Boosted By Weekend Event In Chicago

Appalachian Bible Institute members led by President Lester E. Pipkin returned from Chicago after an Advance at Appalachian banquet. The dormitory fund gained 6000 dollars, raising the total to about 230000. Pipkin and his wife spoke at First Baptist Crown Point Indiana, with a student octet singing at both events.

Bombers Hit South Vietnam With Heavy Raid Waves

American 352 bombers conducted their heaviest raids in four months on South Vietnam. South Vietnamese forces claimed destruction of three North Vietnamese tanks. BS2 bombers from Thailand dropped at least 540 tons of bombs targeting infiltration routes near Khe Sanh and the A Shau Valley.

Lindsay Does Well In Arizona After Vehicle Collision

Ronald Lee Meador 21 of Mayor Lindsay faces charges after his 1961 model car hit a parked vehicle on Route 44 in Arizona. Myers Likely To Join Kenna In West Virginia Race

Huntington United Press International reports businessman Robert E. Myers plans to file candidacy news releases in key cities to oppose Secretary of State John D. Raleigh County juries approve SDH property settlements

Juries in Raleigh County Circuit Court approved settlements for land taken for the APD Corridor L highway. James E. and June McDaniel received 8 840 for about 0 39 acres and a temporary easement, after state objections to a prior 9 000 award. Alfred M. and Lilly Hann were awarded 2 500 for two tracts totaling 4.10 acres. A 23 juror panel was summoned as a trial for Aimee Duncan versus Carolina Super Market proceeds.

Crawford W Jordan rites set in Akron for 37 year old
