Two Cars Wreck At Clear Fork Near Pineville
A two car collision late Wednesday night between Baileysville and Oceana in the Clear Fork area left several with minor injuries. The sheriff's office has no details yet. Deputy Dewey Bailey will mail the report. Sheriff Bert Short said one driver is a Wyoming minister's daughter and the other a Naffield boy from Baileysville.

Auction Success For School Patrol
Oak Hill PTA held a bid to fund school patrolmen going to the annual event in Washington in the spring. Mayor H. C. Brown acted as auctioneer with Officer Bill Murdock to accompany the patrols. Proceeds reached 244.55 dollars, plus 75 dollars from local clubs and 73 dollars from outside donors, totaling 392.55 dollars for the trip.

Seventy five Madison and Danville Home Room Mothers took part in the Mothers March on Polio Tuesday evening and raised a total of 322 dollars. In Madison area chairwoman Ida Ellis reported 217.40 as the Madison total, while Danville Mothers under Patsy Wiley contributed 105 dollars. The event began at 7 p.m. with mothers wearing arm bands and carrying donation containers, then met at the Appalachian Social Room in Madison to tally the sums.

Holliday Chairs Fayette Heart Drive for Third Year
Robert K. Holliday publisher of The Fayette Tribune will chair Fayette County Heart Fund Drive for the third year. The campaign runs Feb 1 to Feb 28 led by the Fayette Heart Association and culminates on Heart Sunday with door to door collections by volunteers. Last year about $4 000 was raised for local and state heart programs. Holliday also serves as Fayette County Heart Association president and on the West Virginia Heart Association board. He holds a Marshall University degree and authored Politics In Fayette County. He is a company clerk in the 497th Engineer Bn US Army Reserves Beckley and is married with a two and a half month old son Kevin Edward.
