Wilbur S Martin 79 of MacArthur died Sunday at 10:40 p.m. after a long illness. funeral arrangements were set for Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home with Rev William Booth officiating. Pallbearers named. several survivors listed including spouse, children, and siblings. Memorial Park and local funeral home details provided.
Hubert West died early today in a Johnson City Tennessee hospital. Survivors include sisters Pearlie Bair of Coal City and Irene Meadows of Mullens. Body at Foglesong Nease and Neely Funeral Home Mullens. Rev Sam White, 85, of 116 Smoot Ave, died Sunday at 10 15 pm at a local hospital.

Beckley Fire Department responded to a call at 119 Main Street due to a faulty FM computer circuit at 5:55 a.m. on the day of the report and found the scene under control upon arrival. The First Aid Squad also responded to 116 Smoot Avenue at 9:50 p.m. Sunday for Samuel White, 85, who was pronounced dead on arrival at Beckley Appalachian Regional Hospital.
