Marshall Funeral Rites Thursday

Funeral services for Mrs. Catherine Marshall 74 will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in St Andrew's Episcopal Church Oak Hill with Rev. Henry W. Hogg officiating. Burial follows in High Lawn Memorial Park. She was born in Guishara England November 29 1878 and leaves two sons Joseph and Thomas, a daughter Mrs J B Anderson, siblings in England and New York, six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Active pallbearers include Clarence Bishop Robert Oxendale Bill Arrington Jack Arrington Mike Mangin George Scott and Harry Scott. The body was moved to the residence at 4 p.m. today from Thomas Funeral Home Oak Hill.

Cook Funeral Set Thursday at 2

Funeral services for Amanda E. Cook 82 of Oceana will be held Thursday at 2 p m in the Oceana First Baptist Church with Rev Clyde Backus and Rev James H Casto officiating. Burial will follow in the Cook Cemetery Oceana. The body will lie in state at Evans Funeral Home until service time.

Prisoner Captured Hours After Escape in West Virginia

Alderson Virginia Saunders a 16 year old inmate at the Federal Institution for Women escaped Wednesday night and was captured early Thursday in Ronceverte after about seven hours of freedom. She climbed from a second floor room using a bed sheet, crossed the fence, and followed the railroad to Snow Flake before traveling barefoot. She asked to call a taxi from Ronceverte where City Patrolman Gilmer Morgan alerted authorities. Saunders, from Pecatonica Michigan, entered the institution January 14 to serve until she is 21.

Feb 24 Exams Set For Wyoming Men

Fire Vicims Funeral Today

Graveside services were to be held for three brothers Harold Ray and Harding Ward burned to death in their Hinton home Sunday night with rites at Ronald Meadows Chapel and Chestnut Mountain Cemetery conducted by Rev Herman Luhm. Father Clarence Ward remains seriously burned at Hinton Hospital with slight improvement noted.

Pineville Personal Notes Show Weekend Socials and Fundraiser

Veterans of Foreign Wars Post may sponsor the Oak Hill A baseball team this year. A committee of six members and Commander Ralph Fitzgerald were appointed to study the cost at Wednesday's meeting. Hospital Earns National Rating at Mullens

Mullens Wyoming General Hospital earned recognition from the American Medical Association and was admitted to the Council on Medical Education and Hospitals. Criteria included facilities, qualified staff, administration, sanitary buildings with fire protection, and modern operating and laboratory services.
