Sadie Adkins Rites Pending at Webb and Neal Funeral Homes

Mrs. Sadie Adkins of Abraham died in an Oak Hill nursing home on Monday. Born October 16 1683 in Sewell she was the daughter of the late Matthew Tincher and widow of Jacob Adkins who died in February 1967. Survivors include one foster son Tearal Jones of Buckeye Lake Ohio four stepdaughters 26 stepgrandchildren 72 step great grandchildren and 20 step great great grandchildren. Funeral arrangements are pending at Webb and Neal Funeral Homes.

Randolph Sets Bill To Limit Steel Imports

Senator Jennings Randolph of West Virginia announced a bill to restrict foreign steel shipments to the United States. He said the aim is orderly marketing of imported steel, not protectionism, and to give foreign suppliers a fair share while stabilizing the U S steel industry facing rising foreign market share.

Damage Suit Filed Over Beckley Collision

Cora McAllister of Beckley filed in Raleigh County Circuit Court for damages claiming 266.95 for car repair and 100 for loss of use after a collision with Rose Fluccuzio on Fourth Street Beckley on March 3 1968. Her attorney is Robert B Sayre. her son David was driving.

Mrs Ollie Daniels Rites Set In Stanaford Church

About 200 parents and interest groups met to decide where to hold classes after Prosperity Elementary School was damaged by fire. Sentencing Set Feb 25 in Bika Guilty Plea for Attempted Rape

A 26 year old Skelton resident Bika pleaded guilty to attempted rape in Raleigh Johnson Sprague County. He and co defendants Walter James Lee Bika Calvin St Clair and David Lee faced charges.
