The old National Guard Armory on Park Avenue was sold this morning to Raleigh General Hospital for 22500 dollars. Stockholders dissolved the Armory Corporation after receiving payment and signing the deed. The building, unused since the new Armory opened, had frequent break ins and no revenue.
Chesapeake and Ohio Railway reports January net income of 2.5 million dollars, 30 cents per share, up from 2.1 million and 26 cents a year earlier. Gross revenues total 26.3 million, versus 26.8 million in the prior year.

James Kopp and Jack Mann, riggers with the Hamid-Morton Circus, fell 60 feet when scaffolding broke in the Raleigh County Armory. Kopp landed in the bleachers with a broken right foot. Mann hit the concrete floor, suffering sprains and scratches. Both were listed in good condition at Beckley Memorial Hospital.
