John D. Smith 76, formerly of Oak Hill, died at a Columbus sister's home. Funeral services were held there yesterday. He had been an invalid for five years, lost a leg to gangrene, and was married to Emma McCune Smith who preceded him in death. He belonged to the Baptist Church and Oak Hill lodge.
