Leary Explains Parking Facility Maps to Beckley Council
Consulting engineer Dennis J. Leary presented maps for Beckley’s proposed three deck off street parking facility across East Main Street behind the Chesapeake and Potomac Telephone Co. The plan shows first layer construction with four entrances and two lane traffic around the outside for 340 cars. In other business, owner Lee Burleson asked council about an alley through his showroom and a motion to close it. Council approved paving Berkley Street and installing street lights at Sadie Street and Hill Park Drive. Mayor Smith said a WV Rating Bureau inspection may lower Beckley’s insurance class. Maginley’s decision is due after Jan 1.
