Fisher Official and Wife Slain in Flint Home
In Flint Michigan police found Lewis Wells 37 a Fisher Body plant assistant manager and his wife Mary 45 shot dead in their home. Wells lay near a stair base with multiple bullet wounds while Mrs Wells lay over a gas stove her head shot. Coroner says they died about four hours earlier and investigators noted open gas jets and a bedroom blood stains. Authorities say the couple had requested extra watch on December 16 as they planned a trip and papers in the house suggest they intended to drive into Canada before returning home Sunday.

Three Men Die Underneath Ice In Wisconsin Tragedy
Fond Du Lac Wisconsin December 23 three men trapped in a truck cab when it broke through thin ice on Lake Winnebago were recovered by a diver. Jack Hall formerly of Crab Orchard and Lena Epperley of Beckley were arrested Friday in Williamson and turned over to Logan state police for murder charges. Hall, sought for automobile theft and robbery in Raleigh county, allegedly killed Marshall Clay near Logan on November 29 and fled after a ride to Beck. Clay’s body was found near Logan on that date. Witnesses placed Hall and Clay at the Logan bus terminal on November 28. Epperley, jailed earlier for obstructing an officer, accompanied Hall. Hall had been hunted by county city and state officers for months.
