Legality Questioned Over $35000 Honey Budget Allocation
Attorney General C. Donald Robertson opposed allocating 35000 to the West Virginia Historical Drama Assn for the Civil War drama at Grandview State Park near Beckley. He deemed state funds for private endeavors illegal, casting votes against related earmarks within the Department of Commerce and broader budget recommendations. The board also rejected most of a 187000 increase for Natural Resources and faces a delayed final budget plan ahead of the 1965 legislature.
