Highlights include plans for an industrial park promotional materials Grandview tourism study highway routing and a Beckley educational TV station initiative. Officers elected Alfred Benton president Justin Carr first VP Donald Hodson second VP James St Clair treasurer.
Specialist Four Gary R. Frye, son of Mrs Flossie Frye Saxon, serves as a helicopter gunner in Viet Nam. Entered Army in 1963, trained at Fort Knox, arrived overseas in April, with tour ending April 1966. Frye, Trap Hill High School 1963 graduate. Airman First Class Robert Ortiz Jr., son of Mr and Mrs Robert Ortiz Helen, graduates from Shepard AFB tra course for Air Force aircraft maintenance. Ortiz, Mark Twain High School graduate, to Lockbourne AFB Ohio for duty. wife Mary is daughter of Mr and Mrs T W Curren, Rt 1 McCaulley Texas. Airman First Class Andrew J Mazurkiewicz, son of Mr and Mrs Walter G Mazurkiewicz Chicago IL, arrives for duty at Wethersfield RAF Station England. Mazurkiewicz, auto pilot repairman, previously at Lockbourne AFB Ohio, assigned to USAF Europe under NATO. Tuley High School graduate. His wife Manaz, daughter of Mr and Mrs John M Tilly Bud.
