Woman Dies by Self Inflicted Gunshot in Coal City Store
Mrs Lola Mabe 29, was found dead at her husband’s Coal City store last night around 10:30. A note and Christmas gift for her 9 year old son were left behind. Troopers said she shot herself after visiting a sick friend in Raleigh General hospital and returning home with a .38 revolver she took from Mrs Jarrell. The weapon bore down on her heart and the bullet passed through, stopping near the counter.
