Sgt. Shamblin of Willis Branch, a 1st Special Forces member stationed in Okinawa, died from a gunshot during combat in Viet Nam on November 8. He arrived in Vietnam in May 1965 and was buried at Wildwood Memorial Park after military rites. He left behind Mrs. Shamblin and relatives in Texas and Okinawa.
