Four Clubs as Slam Invite In Bridge Strategy
John Gerber’s four clubs convention asks for aces like Blackwood when partner opens one no-trump. With 16 points balanced, invite slam. 17 points aims for six. 15 or weak 16 avoid past four no-trump. If both sides hold 16 points 4-3-3-3, either can pursue slam after a no-trump opener, but standard four no-trump raises let defense stop at five no-trump.

Bridge puzzle: what next after 2H and 3D overcall
In the given auction South holds K4 and 4 A10876, partner passes 3NT after 2NT and 3NT. With hearts as opener and no slam incentive, the recommended move is to pass, letting partner describe the hand. The puzzle asks for the corrective action to 3D over 2H when partner bids 3D.
