Canaday Rites Slated Saturday
Funeral services for Fred Canaday are set for 2 p.m. Saturday at Bethel Freewill Baptist Church MacArthur with Rev. Arnold Akers officiating. Burial will follow in Cana day Cemetery near Glen White. Canaday died Wednesday while en route to a Mullens doctor and after falling ill at Uic Deerfield mine of Pocahontas Fuel Co. He was pronounced dead at Wyoming General Hospital. The body remains at Caffee Funeral Home until one hour before services.

Bradley man fined for illegal overhang on car
William Mark Lilly was fined 19 dollars and costs by Magistrate W A Burke after state police arrested him for carrying a television antenna that extended beyond legal limits. The law bans any object extending beyond the left fender and limits the right side to six inches. The arrest occurred at 140 PM Tuesday.
