Fayette County Board of Education filled Meadow Bridge high school band director post with Lacy Preston Shawver, joining two other Meadow Bridge appointments, and moved staff at Collins High and Fayetteville area schools. Fayette County Fair Opens Saturday at Four-H Park
Fayette County Fair kicks off Saturday at Four-H Park Beckwith drawing heavy interest from farmers and 4-H members. Exhibits include home garden entries of at least 10 items and farm displays with 15 items plus dairy and poultry projects. The event runs with a rural urban picnic, prizes totaling near 100 donated by Fayette County merchants, and a full day of contests, music, and activities led by fair association president Harry W. Miller.
