Quick Action Saves Youth In Pool Mishap

Family of Four Murdered in New Vacation Cabin

In Crestline California a family of four plus their dog were killed by rifle fire in a newly built mountain cabin. James A. Boles 41 an aeronautical engineer his wife Darlene 37 and sons Bob 15 Tom 12 were found at the San Moritz Chalet area about 15 miles east of San Bernardino. The coroner said the killings occurred last Saturday with all victims shot numerous times and the dog also killed.

Bolt Three Forks Road Bids Sought

State Road Commission will open bids August 31 for six projects totaling about 9.4 million dollars. Major items include 3,069 miles of Interstate 79 from MecWhorter to Lost Creek in Harrison County and two bridges over the back channel of the Ohio River for Interstate 70 in Ohio County. Other work includes W V 99 from Three Forks to Bolt, Sec 32 and 322 near Grassy Creek, U S 219 near Midland to Elkins, and U S 52 between Huntington and Wayne.
