H R Ferrell 63 Dies After Service as Tax Official
H R Ferrell a longtime tax official and former deputy collector of internal revenues died aged 63 in a Cincinnati veterans hospital. A Charleston resident since leaving state service in the 1940s, he headed the State Tax Department income tax division from its start in 1935 until its abolition in 1943. Surviving are his wife three children a stepdaughter and a son and several siblings. Presbyterian funeral services will be held here Thursday then burial in Parkersburg.
