WV official fired after tied to former director Sarver
Charleston report says William K Valko a West Virginia University trainee and former Parkersburg Jackson Junior High coach claims Public Institutions Commissioner Ence Johnson fired him for ties to Robert Sarver, ex-division of correction head. Valko notes his July 4 dismissal retroactive to May 30 as Sarver’s disputes unfold. He had joined the division in 1986 after recruitment by Sarver and previously worked at the Moundsville penitentiary and the Industrial School for Boys in Pennytown. A separate note mentions a burglary of liberty quarters and Buffalo nickels and other valuables.
