Miss Georgia Gunter bride elect of Jack Gilmore enjoys a bridal shower at her cousin Miss Margaret Gunter’s Johnstown home with blue and yellow decorations. A crystal china shower followed a dessert bridge at the Wickham Avenue home of Mrs. Sherwood Dunigan with co host Miss Betty Gunter.
The Pythian Sisters will conduct a meeting at 7 30 tonight at the Union Hall to finalize plans for a picnic scheduled for Sunday.
The Degree of Honor lodge schedules its annual picnic at City Park this Wednesday at 6 p.m. An executive board meeting last night approved plans for an inspection of the lodge in September.
Proceeds from a chicken dinner will be served Saturday to benefit the Sofia Church of God building fund. Mrs Earl Lawson of 106 Charles Street hosts Group 9 of the First Christian Church for a meeting tonight at 7 30 p m.

Mrs Wilfred L Wooddell entertained last night with a linen can asla play for Miss Doris Scott bride elect of Joe G Lilly Jr who set Aug 16 as her wedding day. The S Kanawha Street home was decorated with summer flowers for the affair. High prizes in bridge went to Mrs Varge Hampicon and Mrs Teresa Gilmore. canasta top honors to Mrs James Driscoll. Attendees included Mrs W B Lilly Mrs Clark Kessel Mrs James Driscoll Mrs Robert McCormick and many others.
A wiener roast and group singing provided the main diversion for Grandview State Park attendees on Tuesday. Guests included Toni Gilkerson Joe Cox Julia Wray Garland Hereford Ramona McGuire Ronald Dew Clara Morris Charles Basham Ranney Fink Lela Hawley Charles Smith Patty Clay Mary Ann Peery Dick Fridley Jean Winner John Peery Virginia Ellen Painter and others.
