Now Vote by Mail for Absent Voters
A state act passed in April enables absent voters to vote by mail. Any qualified registered voter away from the state on election day may apply to the county Circuit Court clerk for an absent voter's ballot. Applications must be in person or by mail 30 to 10 days before the election, signed and sworn before a qualified officer. The voter marks and seals the ballot in the officer’s presence and returns it to the issuing officer.
