Registration Dates Set For Head Start Program
About 30 applicants registered for the fall Head Start term at the Clear Fork Health Center in Colcord. The Oct. 2 term targets mainly 3- to 5-year-olds. Eight centers will each hold two registration dates this month with schedules listed for Marsh Fork Slab Fork Trap Hill East Beckley East Park Stamford Harper Heights. Head Start director Doris Bradshaw outlined updates including adding a social worker, new teaching and support staff, and enhanced parent activities and referrals.
