Dior redefines waistline with belts and fitted looks
Paris fashion week showcased Dior designer Marc Bohan reviving the waistline with medium wide belts on coats and suits, and wide cummerbunds on cocktail dresses. The collection favored tunics, back drapery, fuller skirts, and strapless evening gowns, while models sported bold bangs and dramatic eye makeup.

Frying Temperatures and Safe Heat Levels
Home economists advise lowering flame to reduce smoking when frying in olive oil or butter. With automatic top burner set at 325 degrees, maintain gentler heat. A frying temp of 375 degrees suits other fats like salad oil or shortenings.
Garbage problems solved with home gas incinerator
A smokeless odorless gas incinerator in your home would dispose of waste immediately, ending the toil of taking out trash and waiting for collection. It would eliminate unsightly burners and reduce attraction for insects and stray animals.
Mid knee skirts and long jackets dominate winter fashion
Paris fashion observers report winter wear will emphasize mid knee skirts, longer suit jackets, fuller shoulders, and natural waists. Hubert de Givenchy backed these trends at a Paris show while Dior indicated agreement. Balenciaga's winter collection was still pending. A belt tightening trend seen in salons accompanied Givenchy's two hour show for buyers. A standout item described was a yellow lounging pajama ensemble with silver beaded trim and a long slit skirt.
