Eccles Soldier Shot To Death At Fort Meade
Specialist 5 Ray E. Bowling 34, of Eccles, was found shot to death at Fort Meade Maryland in the ordnance area. Officials say it appears to be self-inflicted with a .38 pistol found in his hand. A 17-year veteran, he served in World War II and Korea and worked as a cook with the 179th Ordnance Co. Survived by wife Emilio, two sons Gerald Lynn and Donald Wayne, and his parents.

Death by Own Action Shocks Kentucky Engineer
The body of 72 year old Frank A. Wyant was found in his car off Route 20 near Leatherwood Road.
