RCCAA Board Calls Special Meeting

The Raleigh County Community Action Association board schedules a special meeting for April 27 at 7 p.m. in Mabscott to nominate officers for May election and to meet Office of Economic Opportunity officials about training sessions. OEO staff, including Dave Matthews, will attend. The initial training on April 22 was moved to April 27 after objections. Officers chosen in May will take office in June.

Grade Cards Due For Fifth Six Weeks In Raleigh County

Prosperity Man Named In Suit In Raleigh County Court

A suit filed in Raleigh County Circuit Court involves Prosperity resident C. W. James as defendant on behalf of the James D. Lilly estate. Co executors Dorma M. Lilly and James D. Lilly Jr allege Mrs Lilly sold a tractor and endloader with separate attachments not sold and James refused to return the equipment. They claim Lilly lacked authority to sell estate assets without Lilly Jr consent and seek return of the equipment and attachments.
