Soak Creek man David Ray Taylor 21 remanded in jail on a drunken entering case with $275 bond after an alleged break in. Other arrests include Lorena Wallace cited for drunk driving and Thomas Perez 25 of Swiss citing illegal use of a vehicle.

Jesse Lucas of Beckley was arrested Tuesday on a drunken driving charge and remanded to jail in lieu of a 50 dollar bond plus costs during arraignment before Town District Magistrate Toe Rodriguez. The court also identified Gerald P.F. Knight, 21, in the proceedings.

Corbett Church 46 a three term West Virginia House of Delegates member died at a Charleston hospital after a cerebral hemorrhage. A Yukon McDowell County resident, he had been principal of Yukon Elementary and later supervisor of transportation for McDowell County schools. He collapsed at the Statehouse after a legislative interim committee meeting and was driven to hospital by Del. Fred Gainer.
