Miss Arvada Day and Darrel Ashworth were married at 7:30 PM in Hedrick Street, Raleigh. Elder A G Nichols officiated the single ring ceremony with spring flowers. The bride, a Shady Spring High School graduate, wore a light blue suit with pink accessories. Darrel, a Woodrow Wilson High School and Beckley College attendee, served in the Navy and teaches at Maple Meadow Elementary. They honeymooned in Cincinnati and plan to live with the groom’s parents before moving to Huntington for his master's at Marshall College.
