Beckley Concert Association kicks off 28th annual memberships
The Beckley Community Concert Association launches its 28th annual enrollment week with Beckley Hotel lobby hours from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. today through Friday and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. Fred Richmond chairs membership drives, with enrollments also at The Melody Shop. Ed Sprague, WVU music professor, spoke at the kick off dinner, while Dr. Werner A. Laqueur led the meeting and 80 volunteers received enrollment envelopes. Eleven new volunteer workers join the roster for 1965-66, alongside a long list of other workers from Beckley and surrounding areas.
