Ireland Receives Easter Uprising Flag From Britain
Britain returned the green white and gold flag that Irish rebels flew over Dublin post office during the 1916 Easter uprising. The flag had been in London’s Imperial War Museum and was handed back to Irish officials on the 50th anniversary of the rising. A Commonwealth Relations Office spokesman said it was the appropriate time to return it.
