The verdict declares she committed the act as charged and that she was insane at the time and remains so. She will be placed in an insane asylum. Mrs Simpson is niece of John M Roach former president of a local traction company and formerly lived in Belleville, Illinois. She received the verdict without emotion but ran from an anteroom and slammed the door when approached by an interviewer. Her counsel expressed satisfaction.
