Quincy proposes water works improvements over 200000
City officials say spring time work will cost at least 250000 and include a new standpipe for areas north of Eighteenth street and the Walton Heights factory district plus lining the reservoir with concrete. Commission staff urge prioritizing the standpipe to improve second floor water pressure. An upcoming meeting will align council and water works on the plan with rate reductions unlikely before after these works.
