Atlantic City N J October 27 Reports that Villa was driving back Mexican de facto government troops in Chihuahua were denied by a statement issued Thursday by the Mexican American joint commission in session here. The wives of Generals Carranza and Obregon were absent from Mexico. Mrs Obregon is en route to Los Angeles to visit her mother. Mrs Carranza went to San Antonio to make purchases and will return to Mexico City with Col Juan Barragan in a few days.
